The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Donigan avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Donigan tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Donigan throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Wainwright counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Donigan tries to keep at a distance but Wainwright has taken the fight into the clinch.

Wainwright manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Donigan really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Donigan postures up.
Donigan loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Wainwright wants to get back to his feet but Donigan passes into half guard.

Donigan stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Wainwright to get to his feet.
Wainwright is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Wainwright showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Donigan.
The fight stays on the outside here - Wainwright looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Wainwright rushes Donigan and presses him up against the cage.
Wainwright misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Donigan.
Wainwright is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Donigan to keep the fight standing.
Wainwright has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Donigan is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Wainwright's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Donigan throws a head kick but Wainwright moves out of range.

and Wainwright counters with a stiff right hand.
Donigan misses with an attempted mid kick.
Wainwright fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Donigan looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Donigan is breathing heavily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Wainwright connects with a left and a right that sees a clearly hurt Donigan covering up! Wainwright comes in with a big uppercut and Donigan goes doooown! He's slumped up against the cage, eyes staring blankly into space.
