The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson drops Hanson with a right and a left! Jackson comes rushing in but Hanson regains his composure and manages to keep Jackson in guard.

It looks like John Wayne Hanson has been cut.

Hanson had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Jackson is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Hanson Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Jackson's back instead.
Hanson controlling well, preventing Jackson from escaping the position.
Hanson punches the canvas rather than the man.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Hanson's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Jackson tries to roll but Hanson sticks to his back.

Hanson is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Jackson has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Hanson has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Jackson taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Hanson doesn't care though - he's delighted!
