Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Conrado Guerra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jamie Gillis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Gillis's choice of entrance music: I Don't Feel Like Dancing - Scissor Sisters. Conrado Guerra could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Jamie Gillis's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Conrado Guerra!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jamie Gillis!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Stewart Dunkirk and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gillis keeps the fight on the outside.
Guerra lands a leg kick that knocks Gillis off balance momentarily.

Guerra closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Guerra throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Gillis blocks it with crossed arms.
Guerra is pressed up against the cage. Gillis has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Guerra down to the mat. Guerra avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
A looping hook to the body misses from Gillis. Guerra does a little dance to reset his feet.
Guerra closes this distance looking for a takedown but Gillis circles away.
Guerra moves away from the strike by Gillis.
Gillis ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Guerra slips a jab and a cross from Gillis.
Gillis tries to bum rush Guerra with a series of wild strikes but Guerra uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Gillis leaves Guerra with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Guerra closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Guerra shoots in for a double leg but Gillis sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Conrado Guerra. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Gillis stuns Guerra with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Gillis ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Guerra moves away.
Guerra fails with the takedown
and Gillis cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Guerra walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Guerra gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Gillis has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Gillis wants to pass the guard but Guerra is keeping the position.

Guerra tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Guerra utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Guerra wants to get back to his feet but Gillis is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gillis throwing strikes but missing.
Gillis with a nice head shot there.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Guerra is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Gillis is controlling him.
Gillis content to stall in guard here.

Guerra wants to sweep here but Gillis controlling him for the moment.

Gillis drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Gillis jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Guerra uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Guerra shoots in for a double leg but Gillis sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Guerra tries to clinch but Gillis is having none of it.
Gillis swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Guerra.
Guerra closes the distance and clinches up with Gillis, looking for a takedown. Guerra pushes Gillis against the cage but Gillis circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Gillis scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Guerra is breathing heavily.
Guerra shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Gillis defends it nicely.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jamie Gillis dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Gillis changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Gillis lands with a shot to the body.

Guerra takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Gillis works Guerra's body with a nice hook.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Guerra takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Gillis.
Gillis lands a strong strike to the head of Guerra. That's dazed him! Gillis looking to finish here. Guerra is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Gillis lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jamie Gillis!
