Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kaiser Soze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sid Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kaiser Soze has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kaiser Soze!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 14 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sid Taylor!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, John Kavanagh and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taylor tries to bum rush Soze with a series of wild strikes but Soze uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Soze shoots in looking for a takedown but Taylor manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Soze's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Taylor pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Soze misses with a straight right.
Soze throws a push kick but Taylor slaps the foot to one side.
Soze steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Taylor.
Soze lands a jab to the nose.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Soze.
Soze lands with a right hand.
Taylor displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Soze throws out the jab.
Soze on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Soze throws an off balance right hand
and Taylor counters with a head kick. That will keep Soze thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The fighters circle momentarily. Soze darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Taylor shoots in but no luck this time.

Soze shoots in looking for a takedown but Taylor manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Soze's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Soze ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Taylor moves away.
Soze is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Taylor.
Taylor throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Taylor's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Soze connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Taylor scrambles back to his feet.
Taylor will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Soze looks to land a right hand but Taylor moved out of range.
Soze scores with a crisp jab that stopped Taylor in his tracks.
Taylor pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Soze gets a takedown into half guard.
Soze thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Taylor's head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Soze throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Soze is keen to just control but Taylor is a slippery customer.
Soze throws a strike but Taylor avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

Soze has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Taylor closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Soze's guard.

Soze sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Taylor uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Soze.
Kaiser Soze seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Horrible takedown by Soze or perhaps it was just good defense by Taylor which made him look bad.
Taylor shoots in but Soze avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Kaiser Soze is winning the standup battle so far.

Taylor fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Soze sprawls well initially but Taylor persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Soze wants to control but Taylor is keeping busy.

Well Taylor has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
