Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Paul Tew and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Patrick closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Patrick lands in his opponent's guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Patrick scoring with some ground and pound.
Patrick content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Patrick pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Curik is keeping the position for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Curik looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Patrick avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Patrick is pushing down on Curik's leg trying to pass to half guard. Curik is fighting to maintain full guard but Patrick has managed to sneak the leg through.
Patrick uses his free foot to push down on Curik's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Curik.
Patrick moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Curik has worked his arm free - good work by Curik!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Patrick has hold of Curik's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Curik tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Patrick cranks the arm and Curik screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Curik, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Evan Patrick!
