Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Norris Cole!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Chen Zen!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Steve Erwin and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cole swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Cole swats away the attempt to clinch by Zen.
Cole misses with a series of wild punches.
Zen tries to clinch up.
Cole throws out a loose jab but Zen uses good head movement to avoid it.
Cole misses with a jab, cross combination.
Zen pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Cole doesn't manage to clinch there - Zen circles away.
Zen tries to close the distance and clinch but Cole swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Cole avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Zen closes the distance and clinches.
Zen looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Cole blocks an elbow strike.
Cole blocks the elbow strike.
Zen lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Cole takes an elbow to the temple.
Cole has Zen pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Zen manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Zen prevents Cole from breaking the clinch.
Cole has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Zen after a bit of a struggle.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Zen lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Zen looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Zen pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Cole scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Zen wants to get back to his feet.
Cole looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Zen looks like he's trying to stand up.
Cole seems to be looking for submissions.
Cole is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Zen is just riding it out for now. Cole eventually gives up the hold.
Cole passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Zen!

Cole is working for a guillotine from mount but Zen frees his head quite easily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Cole with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cole is breathing heavily.
Cole trying to control but Zen is having none of it.

Zen is trying to stand up.
Cole working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Zen looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Cole! Submission of the night perhaps?
