Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dean Mitchell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tobias Makela (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mitchell comes to the ring accompanied by Hail Mary Tupac Shakur. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Kenichi Hosakawa.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mitchell showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Makela.
Makela throws a nice looking combination but Mitchell bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Mitchell closes the distance and clinches.

Mitchell escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A punch combination from Mitchell misses.
Dean Mitchell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Makela throws a right and a left that both miss.

Mitchell closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Mitchell tries to move into full mount but can't pass Makela's legs.

Mitchell working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Mitchell swings around for an armbar but Makela sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Mitchell's guard.

Makela tries to stand but Mitchell is controlling from the bottom.
Mitchell controls Makela momentarily but Makela frees himself.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Mitchell is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Mitchell scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Mitchell scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Mitchell decides to stand back up.
Makela looks gassed!
Mitchell avoids a punch combination nicely.
Mitchell with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Mitchell feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Mitchell accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Mitchell gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Mitchell instigates a clinch.
Makela wants to break the clinch but can't.

Mitchell breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Mitchell fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Makela lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Mitchell backs up against the ropes.

Mitchell is rocked!

It looks like Dean Mitchell has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Makela dances in with a quick combination. Mitchell is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Makela snaps Mitchell's head back. Mitchell stumbles backwards against the ropes. Makela steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Mitchell's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Mitchell just didn't come prepared.
