Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Carl Blueberry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and john Him (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Carl Blueberry has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blueberry punishes Him's body with a nice straight punch.
Him throws a head kick that misses.
Nice jab there from Blueberry.
The fight stays on the outside here - Blueberry looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Him has eaten all the pies!
Him shoots for a takedown but Blueberry saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Blueberry shoots in and drives through. Him sprawls well.
Him connects with a solid leg kick.
Blueberry misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Blueberry lands a nice looking body kick.

Blueberry fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Nice takedown defense from Blueberry. No joy for Him on that attempt.
Him looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Him fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Carl Blueberry has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of john Him.
Blueberry throws a series of punches but Him avoids them all with ease.
Him tries to clinch there but Blueberry circles away.
Horrible takedown by Him or perhaps it was just good defense by Blueberry which made him look bad.

Him shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Him showed some decent athleticism there.

Him's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Him is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Blueberry doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Him.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Him lands strikes from half guard.
Him tries to pass the half guard into mount. Blueberry knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Him seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Him lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Blueberry looks like he's trying to stand up.
Blueberry is refusing to be controlled, as Him sits in half guard.

Him has hold of Blueberry's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Blueberry manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Blueberry avoids a series of strikes thrown by Him.
Blueberry knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Him on the ground.

Blueberry tries to hold on but Him postures up.

That's time! Blueberry's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Him shoots in for a double leg but Blueberry sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Blueberry keeps the fight on the outside.
Blueberry throws a combination. Him tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Him takes the fight into the clinch.

Him jumps into guard, dragging Blueberry to the mat.
Him has Blueberry pulled in close to control his posture.
Him keeping full guard, as Blueberry tries to pass.

Him had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Blueberry is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Him Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Blueberry's back instead.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Blueberry is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Him.

Blueberry turns into Him and is now in his guard.

Him manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Him avoids the attempt from Blueberry to control.

Him working for a guillotine from mount but Blueberry is in no mood to give up.

Him controlling the position well here. Blueberry rolled but Him kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
Blueberry breaks Him's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Blueberry wants to control from the top but Him keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Him is trying to control the position from the bottom.

john Him showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Blueberry's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Him shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Blueberry as he jumps to the side.
Him tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Blueberry paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Blueberry fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Blueberry lands with a shot to the body.
Blueberry avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Blueberry.
Blueberry misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Blueberry throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

and Him counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Him pulls guard.
Blueberry is fighting to break Him's control of his arms but Him is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Blueberry would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Him takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Him trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!

Blueberry decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Blueberry looks to land a combination but Him avoids it well.

Him takes a shot right to the bread basket.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Blueberry fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Him looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Him on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Blueberry will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Blueberry throws a sloppy head kick and Him moves out of range easily.
Him gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Him takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Him throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.

Him in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Carl Blueberry.
I think Him has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
