Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Flight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Victor Drago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Thomas Flight!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Victor Drago!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Anni Minnemäki and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Flight looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Flight closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Flight lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Drago down.
Drago manages to get back to half guard.
Drago wants to control but Flight is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Drago tries to roll over but Flight keeps him under control.
Drago gets back to full guard.
Flight sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Drago's guard.

Flight wants to work for an arm triangle but Drago is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Flight lands strikes from half guard.

Flight is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Drago has managed to free his arm - good work.
Flight working over Drago with some ground and pound. Drago looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Flight landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Drago wants to control but Flight is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Drago is trying to get back to full guard.

Flight is working for a kimura but Drago is defending it quite comfortably.
Flight has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Flight is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Drago taking some punishment here, with Flight in his half guard.
Drago is looking to improve his position.
Flight with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Drago gets full guard.
Flight scoring with punches to the head and body.
Flight trying to control but Drago is working from the bottom.

Flight slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Drago working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Flight.
Flight is working Drago over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Drago wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Flight manages to pass to side control.
Drago is staying active underneath Flight, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Drago wants to improve his position but Flight is controlling well.

Flight is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Drago doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Flight.

Flight prevents Drago from standing back up.

Drago is pressing down on Flight's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Drago tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Flight slips nicely into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Drago is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Flight pulls his head out easily.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Flight seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Drago does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Drago is defending against the submission attempts here by Flight.
Drago is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Flight seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Thomas Flight dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Drago.


Drago is rocked!
Flight weaves into range and cracks Drago right on the temple with a beautiful overhand right! Drago goes down! He's out cold! Wow, what a beautiful knockout! Flight is strutting round the canvas like a movie star as the camera bulbs flash frantically.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:11 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Thomas Flight!
Our winner, Thomas Flight, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
