Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Stephen Starr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Buzz Bombada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bombada gets caught flat footed, as Starr shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Starr throws a big elbow that misses.
Bombada has momentary wrist control but Starr slips an elbow through the middle.
Bombada wants to sweep here but Starr controlling him for the moment.
Bombada wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Starr wants to pass the guard but Bombada is keeping the position.
Starr has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Bombada is pulling down on Starr's head. It's preventing any offense from Starr, at least for the moment.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Buzz Bombada hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Bombada closes the distance and clinches up with Starr, looking for a takedown. Bombada pushes Starr against the cage but Starr circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Bombada shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Starr as he avoids it easily.

Bombada slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Starr is not content to let Bombada control the position.
Starr on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Starr tries to get out of the position.

Bombada works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Starr is looking to reverse the position.

Bombada is working Starr over with some ground and pound from side control.
Bombada grinds an elbow into Starr's temple.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Bombada connects with a nice short shot to Starr's temple.
