PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Krzysztof Kulk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and JJ Hayes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hayes comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Superfreak kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hayes scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
JJ Hayes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hayes lunges at Kulk with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Kulk's hand.

It looks like Krzysztof Kulk has been cut.
Kulk avoids the body shot from Hayes.
Hayes throws a nice looking combination but Kulk bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Hayes stalks Kulk and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Kulk's face. Kulk staggers backwards, shaken.

Hayes digs a right hand into Kulk's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Kulk's gas tank.
Hayes lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Kulk stalling in the clinch but Hayes improves position.
With the fighters clinched against the ropes, Hayes creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Hayes goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Kulk gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Kulk shoots for a takedown but Hayes saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Hayes lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
JJ Hayes is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hayes is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Kulk wants to control from the top but Hayes keeps moving.

Kulk drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Hayes throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Hayes works Kulk's body with a nice hook.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Hayes feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Kulks jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Kulk drives through and clinches with Hayes against the ropes.
Kulk wants a takedown.

Hayes lands on the inside with an uppercut.

JJ Hayes decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
