PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Hideo Shiroma (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hiros Yamamoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shiroma kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Red Warrior. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Hiros Yamamoto enters the ring!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yamamoto fails with a takedown attempt.
Shiroma displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Yamamoto tries to clinch but Shiroma is having none of it.
Yamamoto walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Yamamoto looks to score with a jab to the body but Shiroma is just out of range.

Nice uppercut lands for Shiroma. That snapped Yamamoto's head back.

Shiroma lands a slapping body shot.
Yamamoto changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Shiroma tries to avoid it but Yamamoto manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Shiroma to the ground. Shiroma escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Hideo Shiroma has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hiros Yamamoto.

Shiroma shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Yamamoto eats them both and turns towards Shiroma to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Shiroma lands a right hook to the body.
Yamamoto fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Shiroma scores with the left hand. Yamamoto knows he should have avoided that one.

Shiroma lands a left and a right that send Yamamoto crashing to the mat, dazed. Shiroma thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Shiroma fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Yamamoto to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Yamamoto looks to clinch but Shiroma throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Yamamoto taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
