Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Demian Mondello (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Curt Hennig (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hennig throws a leg kick which misses Mondello's front leg but catches the back leg as Mondello tries to avoid it.
Hennig throws a head kick that misses.
Hennig misses with a head kick.
Hennig pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Mondello gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Hennig decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Mondello's guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Hennig trying to control the position from guard on top but Mondello is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Mondello looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Hennig is defending well. Mondello quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Hennig has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Mondello celebrates on the ropes, with the crowd.
