Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bryan Larocque (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Minoru Uesugi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Uesugi's choice of entrance music: Metallica - Fuel. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Larocque misses with a few strikes there.
Larocque works Uesugi's body with a nice hook.
Larocque misses with a lunging right hand
and Uesugi connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Uesugi on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Uesugi ducks under a wild hook from Larocque.
Larocque misses with an uppercut.
Uesugi scores with a sloppy right hand. Larocque should have avoided that one.
Uesugi decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Larocque flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Uesugi is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Larocque is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Minoru Uesugi!
Minoru Uesugi really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Steel Penn's Laundry 93% logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
