Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aima Hei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Domenic Maddox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Maddox's choice of entrance music: Frontines by Diabolic ft. Immortal Technique. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Robert Twigg and George Francis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hei throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Maddox stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
The fighters circling - Hei throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Hei misses with a low kick as Maddox jumps back.
Hei shoots in looking for a takedown. Maddox tries to sprawl out of it but Hei keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Maddox manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Nice uppercut there from Hei.
Hei lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Hei throws a leg kick but Maddox sees it coming and checks it nicely.

Maddox ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Domenic Maddox wasn't active enough on the ground.
Maddox lands with a hook. Hei tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Hei lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Maddox has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Maddox and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Hei shoots in but no luck this time.
Hei rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Maddox connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Hei misses the shot to the body.
Hei looks for the body kick but Maddox saw that one coming.
Hei connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Hei looks to throw the jab but Maddox is out of range.

Maddox closes the distance and clinches.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Hei has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Hei wants to control from the top but Maddox keeps moving.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Maddox is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Hei ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Hei throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A telegraphed right hand from Maddox misses the target.
Maddox steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Hei. That one must have hurt.
A looping hook to the body misses from Hei. Maddox does a little dance to reset his feet.
Maddox uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hei.
Hei on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Hei explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Hei tries to land a front kick but Maddox steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Maddox throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.

Hei is rocked!
Hei throws an overhand right that lands on Maddox's shoulder, as Maddox tries to avoid the shot.
Oh Hei is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Hei walks straight into a right hand from Maddox - that's dropped him! Maddox jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Hei from any more punishment! Hei complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
