Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jose Torres!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Vee is defended easily by Torres.
Vee fails with a takedown attempt.

Vee scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Vee is trying to get an arm triangle but Torres is defending well.

Vee decides to stand back up.
Torres throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Vee shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Jose Torres has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Khun Vee.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Vee throws a strike but Torres rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Torres trying to control the position from guard on top but Vee is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Vee working for a triangle but Torres defends it easily.
Vee has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Vee manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Torres manages to get himself to full guard.
Vee pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Torres is keeping the position for now.

Torres working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Vee doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Vee manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Vee stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Torres swivels though and keeps the full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Vee looking to sit in guard and control but Torres gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Torres stops Vee from standing up.

Torres got a little sloppy there for a moment and Vee has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Torres has managed to get both his arms back between Vee's legs - danger averted.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Vee can do anything to dispel that myth.

Vee is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Torres has his hands clasped together but Vee extends an breaks Torres's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Vee.
