Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hiranuka Stakanu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). White comes to the ring accompanied by Atreyu- You were the king, now your unconcsious. Stakanu has chosen Oy, To Ne Vecher as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

With a record of 16 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hiranuka Stakanu!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
White throws a lazy right hand but Stakanu sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

White seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Stakanu throws an elbow that misses. White uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Stakanu's guard. Nice move by White!
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Stakanu has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but White can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Stakanu escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. White gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Stakanu is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. White is aware though and is defending well.

White got a little sloppy there for a moment and Stakanu has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, White has managed to get both his arms back between Stakanu's legs - danger averted.

Stakanu has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. White doesn't defend quickly enough and Stakanu has managed to lock this one up! Can White escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Stakanu on a fantastic submission victory.
