Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Toshiro Mifune (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Silver Surfer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silver Surfer has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Toshiro Mifune!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Silver Surfer!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Roosa Järviläinen and Johanna Lukiainen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Surfer scores with a decent looking hook.
Mifune misses with a takedown attempt - Surfer sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Surfer fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Mifune manages to avoid it.
Mifune wants to clinch but Surfer slips to the side
and Surfer counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Mifune fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Mifune shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Mifune darts in trying to clinch
and Surfer cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Surfer throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Mifune takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Surfer walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Mifune checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Surfer gets tackled into the cage by Mifune. Mifune maintains the clinch.

A quick uppercut on the inside from Surfer.
Surfer jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Mifune walks away with a smile on his face. Surfer gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Mifune changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Surfer tries to avoid it but Mifune manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Surfer to the ground. Surfer escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Toshiro Mifune. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Surfer shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Mifune as he jumps to the side.

Surfer has taken the fight to the clinch.

Surfer has had enough of the clinch but Mifune keeps him there for the moment.
Surfer tries to throw a body punch but Mifune avoids it by throwing Surfer back against the cage.

Surfer swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Mifune drops his hands momentarily and Surfer takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Surfer misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Mifune.
Surfer scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Mifune advances to mount.
Surfer is wriggling around trying to escape.
Surfer is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Mifune is looking to work his way around to Surfer's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mifune is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Surfer is surviving well by controlling Mifune's body position as best he can.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Surfer is on top in guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Surfer stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mifune swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Surfer cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Surfer is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Mifune can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Surfer thowing shots but they're missing.
The referee warns Mifune that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Silver Surfer showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Surfer is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Mifune has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Mifune!

Surfer manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Surfer is landing with some decent strikes but Mifune is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Surfer throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Mifune because Surfer loaded up on that one.
Mifune suckers Surfer into throwing a sloppy strike and uses the momentum to reverse the position beautifully! Mifune is now in Surfer's guard!
Surfer wants to sweep but no luck.
Mifune wants to control from the top but Surfer keeps moving.

Surfer has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Surfer tries to roll over but Mifune keeps him under control.
Mifune has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Surfer is desperately trying to improve his position but Mifune has a good base and remains in mount.

Toshiro Mifune has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Well Surfer has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
