The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kann works Rivaldo's body with a nice hook.
Rivaldo jabs at Kann's body.
Kann misses the shot to the body.

Horrible takedown by Kann or perhaps it was just good defense by Rivaldo which made him look bad.
Kann lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Rivaldo is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Kann throws a hook to the side of Rivaldo's head but Rivaldo sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Rivaldo throws a right hand that Kann ducks under and follows up with a left that Kann also avoids with ease.

Rivaldo throws a jab but it's blocked by Kann.

Rivaldo scores with a decent looking hook.
Rivaldo is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Kann had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Kann keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Rivaldo's efforts to push away.
Kann blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Rivaldo escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A looping hook to the body misses from Kann. Rivaldo does a little dance to reset his feet.
Kann is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Rivaldo.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kann shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Kann was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Rivaldo is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Rivaldo is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
