The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Richard Clark and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spider throws a head kick that misses.
Wise closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Spider manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Wise throwing shots but Spider is blocking nicely.
Wise has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Spider is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Wise connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

Wise seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Spider lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Wise sprawling to the canvas. Spider follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Wise hang on?

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!

Wise seems to have recovered his senses.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Spider gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Wise connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Spider shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Wise pinned against the cage. Wise gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Spider tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

Spider connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Spider misses with a takedown attempt - Wise sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
