Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Flavius Aetius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zdravko Dukic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dukic takes a swing at Aetius's ribcage but misses.
Aetius scores with a head kick. Dukic tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Dukic wants to slow Aetius down by chopping away at his legs.
Aetius avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Aetius turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Aetius uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Dukic.

and Aetius counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Dukic really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Aetius. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Aetius has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Aetius feints and then cracks Dukic's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Dukic down.
Aetius throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Dukic throws a nice looking combination but Aetius bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Aetius shoots in for a takedown but Dukic shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Aetius tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Dukic swivels and escapes.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Dukic scores with a one two! Aetius had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Aetius is working to tighten is grip on Dukic's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Dukic has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Aetius is really squeezing tight and eventually Dukic passes out! Aetius breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
