Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Zahir Nolam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phil Donnahue (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nolam's entrance music is Mo Money mo Problems. A fine choice. Donnahue has chosen i fink u freeky as his entrance music. The key to victory for Zahir Nolam has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Zahir Nolam!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Phil Donnahue!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Donnahue looks to throw the jab but Nolam is out of range.
Donnahue takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Nolam throws the left hand but Donnahue avoids the punch easily.
Nolam scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Donnahue doesn't seem bothered though.

Donnahue shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Nolam manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Donnahue stopping the sweep attempt from Nolam.
Nolam is trying to control the position but Donnahue postures up.
Nolam is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Nolam is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Nolam knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Donnahue on the ground.
Donnahue prevents Nolam from getting back to his feet.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Zahir Nolam just wasn't active enough.
Nolam stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Nolam lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.


It looks like Phil Donnahue has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Nolam misses with a wild combination.

Nolam has taken the fight to the clinch.

Nolam lands a nice uppercut.

Nolam pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
No luck for Donnahue with that takedown attempt.
Nolam scores with a jab.
Donnahue shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Nolam as he jumps to the side.
Donnahue misses with a combination
enabling Nolam to counter with a crisp jab.
Nolam misses with an uppercut. Donnahue saw that one coming.

Donnahue is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Nolam's half guard.
Nolam is looking to escape.
Nolam tries to get to full guard but Donnahue has control of the leg.

Donnahue is working for a submission of some sort.
Donnahue looks gassed!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Nolam is looking to escape.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Donnahue wants to take a breather but Nolam is having none of it.
Nolam wants to get back to full guard.
Donnahue wants to pass to mount but Nolam is defending the position.
Donnahue controlling the action here.

Donnahue prevents Nolam from standing back up.
Nolam has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Donnahue is working away from the top position though.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Nolam scores with a nice head shot.
Nolam jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Donnahue avoids a punch combination nicely.
Nolam looks to score with a jab to the body but Donnahue is just out of range.
Nolam leaves Donnahue with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Zahir Nolam has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Phil Donnahue.
Donnahue walks into a straight right hand from Nolam.
Donnahue throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Nolam's waist but Nolam gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Donnahue off to one side.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Nolam rushes Donnahue and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Nolam's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Donnahue wants to clinch.
Donnahue on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Nolam punishes Donnahue's body with a nice straight punch.
Donnahue's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Nolam connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Donnahue scrambles back to his feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Nolam fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Donnahue gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Nolam.
Donnahue fails with a takedown attempt.
A left and a right from Nolam both land. Nice combination.
Nolam with a jab.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Nolam misses with the combination.
Nolam scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Nolam getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Zahir Nolam dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Phil Donnahue's cut.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

and Nolam counters with a nice uppercut.
Donnahue shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Nolam as he jumps to the side.
Nolam swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Donnahue.
Nolam avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Nolam looks to land a left hand but Donnahue moved out of range nicely.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Donnahue is defended easily by Nolam.
Zahir Nolam has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Phil Donnahue.

Nolam gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Nolam breaks from the clinch.
Nolam lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Donnahue circles away quickly and effectively.
Donnahue takes one on the button.
Donnahue is breathing heavily.
Donnahue shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Nolam as he avoids it easily.
Nolam lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Donnahue backs up against the cage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Nolam blocks the body kick.
A punch combination from Nolam misses.
Nolam lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!


Donnahue is rocked!
Nolam cracks Donnahue with a hook to the temple - Donnahue is on wobbly legs here! Nolam swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Donnahue falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Nolam wins by TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:19 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Zahir Nolam!
