Cake is looking to control Dames's arms but Dames gets an underhook and turns him. Now Cake has his back to the cage.

Dames has his foot on Cake's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Cake works his way back into a safe position though.
Cake seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Cake wants to pass the guard but Dames is keeping the position.

Cake tries to advance to mount but Dames instead regains half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Dames is looking to improve his position.
Cake is looking to take a break and control but Dames is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Dames looks to score with a jab to the body but Cake is just out of range.
Dames is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Cake.

Seymour Cake is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Dames gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Dames lands a hook to the side of the head.
Cake being controlled against the cage.

Dames has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Cake clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Cake trying to control the hands but Dames won't let him.
Dames just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Dames seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Cake for as long as he can get away with.

Dames is not going to allow Cake to sit and survive in this position.
Cake wants to get back to his feet.
Cake prevents Dames from getting a body triangle.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Dames is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Cake is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
I would not like to be Cake right now.

Cake is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Dames gets his way!
