Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Josh Bardon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brian Sonnen!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Wesley Smith and Cecil Peabody.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sonnen fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Sonnen avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Sonnen takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Bardon stuffs the takedown.
Sonnen tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Bardon swivels and escapes.
Josh Bardon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brian Sonnen.
Nice sprawl there from Bardon as Sonnen shoots in.
Bardon with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Sonnen shoots for a takedown but Bardon saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Bardon moves in looking to clinch but Sonnen pushes him off.
Sonnen displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Bardon.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Sonnen.

Sonnen shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Bardon darts in and clinches Sonnen up against the cage.
Bardon tries for a takedown but Sonnen manages to get underhooks.
Sonnen is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Bardon pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Bardon pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Sonnen takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Sonnen tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
A jab from Bardon does it's job there.

Bardon tries to close the distance and clinch up but Sonnen swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Bardon connects with a leg kick. Sonnen looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
A slapping leg kick lands for Bardon.
Sonnen takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

A solid body kick from Bardon.
A nice leg kick lands there from Bardon.
Sonnen takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Sonnen fails with a takedown attempt.
Bardon wants to clinch up but Sonnen keeps it at a distance.
Bardon tries to close the distance and clinch up but Sonnen swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Sonnen throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Bardon tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Sonnen is in Bardon's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Bardon pushes Sonnen off and gets back to his feet.
Bardon doesn't manage to clinch there - Sonnen circles away.
Bardon tries to clinch but Sonnen moves out of range.

Bardon dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Sonnen. That did some damage!

Bardon rushes Sonnen and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Bardon connects with a knee to the head.
Bardon wants to break the clinch but can't.
Bardon digs a right hand into Sonnen's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Sonnen's gas tank.
Sonnen takes a knee right on the jaw!
Sonnen takes an elbow to the temple.
Bardon lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Bardon is trying to push Sonnen away but Sonnen has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Bardon tries to break free but Sonnen pushes him back against the cage.
Bardon landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.

Bardon breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Sonnen tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bardon sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Sonnen somewhat.

Bardon throws a nice head kick!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Sonnen throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bardon's waist but Bardon gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sonnen off to one side.
Sonnen stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Bardon.
Bardon throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Bardon tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Sonnen manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Bardon is looking to clinch.
Brian Sonnen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Sonnen fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Bardon throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Sonnen's head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bardon fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Sonnen.
Bardon thuds his shin into the meat of Sonnen's side.
Bardon tries to clinch there but Sonnen circles away.
Bardon lands a brutal head kick. Sonnen looks out on his feet and Bardon throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
