Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Adam Hodgins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dancer Cotillion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dancer Cotillion has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Adam Hodgins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dancer Cotillion!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Ian Loll and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hodgins fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Cotillion tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hodgins was well out of range. Poor timing from Cotillion.
Hodgins fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Hodgins tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Cotillion feints and then cracks Hodgins's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Hodgins down.
Cotillion connects with an inside leg kick.
Cotillion lets loose with a powerful body kick. Hodgins will feel that in the morning.
Cotillion attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Cotillion fakes the leg kick and cracks Hodgins in the body.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Hodgins is defended easily by Cotillion.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Adam Hodgins. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Cotillion throws a nice inside leg kick.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Cotillion.
Hodgins fails with a takedown attempt.
That kick from Cotillion tenderised Hodgins's leg. Hodgins is trying to keep his angry face on.

Hodgins shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Cotillion as he avoids it easily.
Hodgins shoots in looking for a takedown but Cotillion manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Hodgins's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Hodgins has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Cotillion.
Hodgins closes the distance and clinches up with Cotillion, looking for a takedown. Hodgins pushes Cotillion against the cage but Cotillion circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Hodgins is breathing heavily.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Cotillion.
Cotillion with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Cotillion keeps Hodgins at a distance using the push kick.
Hodgins closes this distance looking for a takedown but Cotillion circles away.
Hodgins walks forward, straight into a front kick from Cotillion.
Crunch! Cotillion slams his shin into Hodgins's torso.
Cotillion thows a body kick. Hodgins tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Hodgins takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Adam Hodgins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cotillion turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Hodgins will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body.
Hodgins takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Cotillion.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Cotillion throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Cotillion connects with a solid leg kick.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Hodgins. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Hodgins fails with a takedown attempt.
Cotillion pushes Hodgins away with a front kick.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Cotillion, right into the meat.
Hodgins throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Cotillion's waist but Cotillion gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hodgins off to one side.

Cotillion scores with a kick to the body.
Good leg kick by Cotillion there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Cotillion feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Hodgins's calf.
Cotillion is looking to slow Hodgins down with leg kicks.
A thudding body kick lands there by Cotillion!
Hodgins chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Cotillion can pounce on him.
Cotillion connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Hodgins fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Cotillion lands with a thumping leg kick.
Cotillion throws a quick inside leg kick.
Hodgins throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Cotillion's waist but Cotillion gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hodgins off to one side.
Cotillion lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Cotillion fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Hodgins has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Cotillion fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Hodgins on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Cotillion scores with a kick to the body.
Cotillion throws a nice head kick!

Hodgins scores a takedown into full mount!
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Hodgins throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Cotillion can't escape the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hodgins wants to finish this one by submission but Cotillion is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Hodgins.
Cotillion is looking to get to half guard.
Cotillion's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Cotillion tries to reverse the position but Hodgins maintains control.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
You get the feeling that Cotillion really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Hodgins prevents Cotillion from getting the reversal.
Hodgins won't let Cotillion get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dancer Cotillion dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Hodgins fails with a takedown attempt.
Cotillion throws a head kick but Hodgins moves out of range.
Cotillion throws a quick inside leg kick.
Dancer Cotillion seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Cotillion throws a low kick, looking for Hodgins's leg but Hodgins calmly moves out of range.
Cotillion tried to score with a low kick but Hodgins checks it.
Hodgins shoots for a double leg takedown but Cotillion sprawls well. He's pushed Hodgins's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Hodgins drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Cotillion gets back to half guard.
Hodgins is looking to advance position but Cotillion won't allow it.

Hodgins looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Cotillion pushes Hodgins off looking to stand but Hodgins dives back in and keeps control.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Hodgins sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Cotillion defending well though.
Cotillion is looking to escape.
Hodgins thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Cotillion's head.
Cotillion manages to get to full guard.
Hodgins is in close to Cotillion's body, working some short punches and elbows.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hodgins forces his way into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hodgins prevents Cotillion from improving his position.
Cotillion is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Hodgins is trying to work for a kimura but Cotillion is defending well.

Hodgins seems to be looking for submissions.

Hodgins seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Cotillion is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Adam Hodgins!
Adam Hodgins seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
