Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tim Duncan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chay Ray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ray has chosen super cold as his entrance music. Chay Ray will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tim Duncan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chay Ray!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Tiny Johnson and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Duncan drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Duncan accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Duncan is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Duncan looking to sit in guard and control but Ray gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Duncan keeping moving, preventing Ray from controlling successfully.
Duncan wants to sweep here but Ray controlling him for the moment.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Duncan drives through with a takedown into Ray's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Duncan decides to stand up, so the ref orders Ray to his feet.
Ray is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Duncan wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ray keeps working.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Ray wants to clinch up but Duncan keeps it at a distance.

Duncan shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Duncan showed some decent athleticism there.

Duncan decides to stand up, so the ref orders Ray to his feet.

Duncan moves into range and clinches up with Ray.

Duncan gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

Ray really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Duncan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Ray tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Duncan manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Ray gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Duncan slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Duncan shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Ray manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Ray gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Duncan to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Ray takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
