The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taylor throws a right and a left that both miss.

Taylor has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Lariato is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Lariato tries to pull guard but Taylor forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Lariato tries to stall but Taylor uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Taylor lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Lariato drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Taylor gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Taylor is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Lariato pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Taylor has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Lariato can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Lariato has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Taylor lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Lariato or not.
Taylor drops down looking for an ankle pick but Lariato pulls his leg out and moves away.
Lariato scores with a one two! Taylor had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Taylor tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
