Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zaine Lovell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Boo Estep (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Zaine Lovell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Boo Estep!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Damien Edna and Bruno Hogan.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Estep fails with the takedown

and Lovell counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Lovell.
Lovell wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Estep is working for takedown but Lovell is calmly controlling the position for now.
Estep is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Lovell pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Zaine Lovell has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Boo Estep.
Estep has Lovell pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Lovell manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Lovell wants to get back to striking at distance but Estep won't allow it.
Estep tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Lovell just stands there and leans against the cage.

Estep ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Estep no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Estep throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Lovell escapes and throws Estep's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Estep wants to control but Lovell postures up.
Check out the look on Lovell's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Lovell is chipping away with strikes.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lovell lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.

Lovell wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Estep, who protects the arm well.
Estep tries to improve position but can't.

Lovell tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lovell lands a nice forearm strike.
Estep tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Lovell is trying to get an arm triangle but Estep is defending well.
Lovell throws a strike aimed at the side of Estep's head but Estep avoids it well.
Estep wants to control but Lovell postures up.
Lovell working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
Lovell knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Estep on the ground.

Estep struggling a bit here.
Estep is looking for a sweep.
Estep takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Estep looks gassed!
Estep wants to control but Lovell postures up.

Lovell decides to take the fight back to the feet.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Estep fails to land the takedown.
Lovell tries a head kick but it misses.
Estep with a poor takedown
and Lovell counters with a nice uppercut.
Lovell throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A combination from Lovell does no damage.
Boo Estep seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lovell throws a big shot that misses.

Lovell lands a big head kick that sends Estep tumbling to the mat! Lovell takes a step backwards and waves Estep back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Estep is rocked!

Estep tries for a takedown but Lovell circles away easily
and Lovell counters with a nice body shot.
Estep is still on wobbly legs! Can Lovell finish him?
Estep dodges the punch combination from Lovell.
Lovell connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Estep to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Lovell!
