Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Boo Estep!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nathaniel Price!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Hugh Johnson and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Price closes the distance and clinches.

Price has picked Estep up - he's going for a ride! Price dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Price prevents Estep from improving his position.
Estep is refusing to be controlled, as Price sits in half guard.
Price blocks the strikes from Estep.
Estep is staying active underneath Price, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Price is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Estep has managed to free his arm - good work.
Price is thwarting Estep's attempts to control the position.
The fighters are battling for position here. Estep manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Price trying to control but Estep is working from the bottom.

Estep is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Price is aware though and is defending well.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Price tries to free his leg and advance position but Estep is retaining full guard.
Price really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Estep. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Estep is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Price defends well.
Price with a flurry of punches that miss.

Estep has his foot on Price's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Price works his way back into a safe position though.
Price must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Estep looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Estep is breathing heavily.
Price sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Price trying to control the position from guard on top but Estep is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Price's corner is telling him to maintain position.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Nathaniel Price hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Estep tries for a takedown but Price sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Price throws a head kick but Estep moves out of range.

Price gets the takedown into side control.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Price cracks Estep with a big right hand but Estep just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Price tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Estep sneaks back into half guard.
Price seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Estep does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Price is looking for a kimura but Estep is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Price to get the leverage.
Estep is looking for a sweep. Price is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Price wants to pass the guard but Estep is defending well.
Price looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Price is looking to take a break and control but Estep is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Estep slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Estep working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Price doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Price manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Estep is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Price showing good wrestling skills to control the position.

Estep has an active guard here but Price has managed to pass into half guard.
Price stalling.

Price passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Estep!
Estep is working to get back to half guard.
Price lands with some strikes.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Price wants to control the pace but Estep is squirming around nicely.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Price prevents Estep from getting the reversal.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Nathaniel Price will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Price shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Estep flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Estep is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Price pulls his head out easily.
Estep moves into full guard.
Price trying to control the position from guard on top but Estep is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Estep is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Price has his hands clasped together but Estep extends an breaks Price's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Estep.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Boo Estep!
