With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Derrick Ryan!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, John Mangel and Damien Edna.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ryan swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Prototype is looking to clinch but Ryan is avoiding it.

Oooooh!!! Ryan has knocked Prototype down with a huge combo! Ryan steps away and waves a wobbly Prototype back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Ryan shoots in for a takedown but Prototype shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Ryan leaves Prototype with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Prototype feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Ryan is looking to sweep but instead, Prototype has passed into half guard.
Prototype blocks the strikes from Ryan.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Prototype stops Ryan from getting back to his feet.
Ryan wants to control but Prototype is keeping busy.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Prototype looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Ryan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Prototype. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Prototype moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Ryan.

Ryan has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Prototype can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Ryan has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Prototype is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Ryan.
Ryan is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Prototype is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

Prototype is stalling here. Ryan is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Prototype seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Ryan has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Ryan tries to score a power double leg takedown but Prototype sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ryan somewhat.

Ryan fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Prototype avoids it really well and circles away.
Prototype looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ryan is fending him off so far but Prototype persists. Nope, Ryan circles away and we're back to standing.
Ryan should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
