Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 2, fighting out of Sydney, Mr Anderson!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jethro Gibbs!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Damien Edna and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gibbs throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Anderson counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Anderson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Gibbs has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Anderson has managed to get both his arms back between Gibbs's legs - danger averted.
Anderson seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Gibbs is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Anderson defends well.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Anderson tries to free his leg and advance position but Gibbs is retaining full guard.

Gibbs tries to roll over but Anderson keeps him under control.

Gibbs tries to lock up and control but Anderson gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Anderson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Gibbs tries to improve his position but instead Anderson has taken his back!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gibbs trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Anderson's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Gibbs is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Anderson.

Anderson throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Gibbs flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Anderson thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Anderson is stalling here. Gibbs is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Anderson seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Gibbs has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

You can see the frustration on Anderson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mr Anderson dominated that round.
That's time! Anderson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Anderson slaps away a takedown attempt from Gibbs, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Anderson fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Gibbs to the ground. Anderson is now in Gibbs's guard.

Anderson slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Gibbs.

Anderson uses his free foot to push down on Gibbs's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Gibbs.

Anderson sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Gibbs is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Gibbs squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Anderson wants to control the pace but Gibbs is squirming around nicely.
Gibbs tries to hold on but Anderson postures up.
Anderson is stalling here but it's allowed Gibbs to get half guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Anderson has taken the fight to the clinch.
Gibbs has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Anderson avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Gibbs tries to score a body lock takedown but Anderson shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Mr Anderson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jethro Gibbs.
Gibbs has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Anderson is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Gibbs is breathing heavily.

Anderson is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Gibbs can't fight it off and eventually Anderson manages to take the fight to the floor. Gibbs looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Anderson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gibbs swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Gibbs is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Anderson is tapping! Great win for Gibbs!
