And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jon Jon!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Frank Dennis and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thunder lands with a thumping leg kick.
Thunder keeps the fight on the outside.
Thunder swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Jon.
JT Thunder seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jon shoots in but Thunder avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Thunder tries to bum rush Jon with a series of wild strikes but Jon uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Thunder tries a head kick but it misses.
Jon tries to move into range but Thunder moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Jon shoots for a takedown but Thunder saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Jon shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Thunder as he avoids it easily.

Jon tries to pull guard but Thunder won't allow it.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Thunder fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Jon.
Thunder is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Jon looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Thunder is fending him off so far but Jon persists. Nope, Thunder circles away and we're back to standing.
Jon takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Thunder is looking to slow Jon down with leg kicks.
Jon is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Thunder is looking for a sweep. Jon is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Thunder knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jon on the ground.
Jon is looking to take a break and control but Thunder is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Jon is working for a submission of some sort.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Thunder rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jon moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Thunder is pressed up against the cage. Jon has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Thunder down to the mat. Thunder avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Jon drops down looking for an ankle pick but Thunder pulls his leg out and moves away.

Thunder wants to stand and escape but Jon is having none of it.

Jon is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Thunder is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Thunder has escaped and now he's on top!

Thunder perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Thunder wants to stand up but Jon is controlling the position.
Jon Jon has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Thunder moves into side control, avoiding the strikes from Jon.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to JT Thunder.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Thunder, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
