Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alex Rios!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mui Thai!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Robert Twigg and Wesley Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rios throws a low kick, looking for Thai's leg but Thai calmly moves out of range.
Rios wants to slow Thai down by chopping away at his legs.
Rios looks for the body kick but Thai saw that one coming.
A lazy body kick from Rios
and Thai counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

It looks like Alex Rios has been cut.
Thai throws a jab when Rios was well out of range.
Thai misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Rios.
Thai shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Rios pinned against the cage. Rios gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Rios throws out a leg kick but Thai moves out of range and Rios only half commits.
Thai lands the left hand.
Rios keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Thai.
Thai lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Rios circles away quickly and effectively.
Rios swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Thai misses with a wild body shot.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Thai looks to land a left hand but Rios moved out of range nicely.
Rios throws a quick inside leg kick.
Thai on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Rios tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Thai was well out of range. Poor timing from Rios.
Thai misses with a double jab.
Rios looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Rios throws a body punch but Thai moves out of range.

Rios clinches up with Thai and pushes him back against the cage.
Thai takes a knee to the side of the body.
Thai looks gassed!
This has been an exciting period of action!

Rios breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Alex Rios seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Rios - that will leave a mark!
Rios swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Thai on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Rios feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Thai's calf.

Rios feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Thai sprawling to the canvas! Thai rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Rios finish him?!

It looks like Mui Thai has been cut.
Rios closes the distance and lands a brutal uppercut that knocks Thai out! We're looking at the replay now - he was out before he hit the floor!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Alex Rios!
After winning the bout, Alex Rios thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
