The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vlad avoids a punch combination nicely.
Klitschko will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Vlad throws a combination. Klitschko tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

It looks like Vitali Klitschko has been cut.

Vlad moves into the clinch successfully.
Klitschko swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Vlad has Klitschko pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Vlad pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Klitschko tumbling to the mat - Vlad dives into Klitschko's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Klitschko is trying to push Vlad away but Vlad has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Vlad has gone for a leg lock! Klitschko slips out almost immediately though and dives into Vlad's guard.
Klitschko prevents Vlad from getting back to his feet.
Klitschko throws a strike but Vlad rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Vlad gets to his feet. Klitschko looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Vlad tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Klitschko paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Vlad closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Vlad pushes Klitschko back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Klitschko has Vlad pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Vlad manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
A right hook to the body lands for Vlad.
Klitschko is breathing heavily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Vlad lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Klitschko.

Vlad drops Klitschko with a big right hand! Vlad charges in looking to finish - Klitschko manages to keep Vlad in his guard and seems to have recovered somewhat.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Vlad postures up in Klitschko's guard and throws a big left but Klitschko blocks it.
Oh Klitschko is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Vlad stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Klitschko seems to have got his legs back now.

Vlad clinches up with Klitschko and pushes him back against the cage.

Vlad lands a big right hand that sends Klitschko to the canvas! This could be the beginning of the end for Klitschko!
