Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Thoupos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rico Blangko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thoupos's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Numb Encore. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Daniel Cesar and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thoupos throws a head kick that Blangko semi-blocks.
Blangko misses with a few strikes there.
Blangko fails with an attempt to clinch.
Rico Blangko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Blangko moves to clinch but Thoupos breaks away
and Thoupos counters with a left and a right that stings Blangko.
A telegraphed right hand from Blangko misses the target.
Blangko takes a swing at Thoupos's ribcage but misses.
Thoupos gets a clinch.
Thoupos on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Thoupos unloads a knee to the mid-section. Blangko lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.

Thoupos gets through Blangko's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Thoupos working the clinch nicely. Blangko is working for position but Thoupos cracks him with a big knee to the head! Blangko crumples up against the cage and Thoupos lands two more shots before the ref can save Blangko! This one is all over!

Alexander Thoupos decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
