Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jester Head (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Diego Gelder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Jester Head!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Diego Gelder!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Paul Tew and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gelder fails with the takedown.
Danga de danga de dang - Gelder scores with a four punch combination!


Head is rocked!

Gelder shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Gelder was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Oh Head is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Head is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Gelder looking to secure an arm triangle but Head defends it well.
Head seems to have got his legs back now.
Head squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Head gets back to half guard.
Head is looking to control Gelder's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Head avoid being mounted?

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gelder prevents Head from improving his position.
Gelder drops an elbow to the side of Head's head.

Head wants to get back to his feet.

Head is defending against the submission attempts here by Gelder.
Gelder wants to pass the guard but Head is defending well.
Head is trying to get back to full guard.
Head keeping control of the position.
Head pushes Gelder off looking to stand but Gelder dives back in and keeps control.
Head wants to control the action here but instead Gelder manages to pass to full mount!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Gelder avoids the attempt from Head to control.
Gelder wants to take his opponent's back but Head doesn't allow it.
Head keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Head gets back to half guard.
Head is breathing heavily.
Gelder passes the guard and advances to mount!

Gelder goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Head turns into him and now he's in Gelder's guard.
Head wanted to stand there but Gelder had control of the position.

Gelder keeping moving, preventing Head from controlling successfully.
Head would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Gelder looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Head trying to control the position from guard on top but Gelder is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Gelder is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Gelder is refusing to be controlled, as Head sits in half guard.

Gelder is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Head pulls his head out easily.
Head is looking to take a break and control but Gelder is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Gelder is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Gelder makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Gelder.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Diego Gelder dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Gelder shoots in for a takedown but Head shows good takedown defense.
Head tries a head kick but it misses.
Head throws a body kick that misses.

Gelder feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Gelder is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gelder passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Gelder tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Gelder in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.

Gelder is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Head is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Head on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Head tries to get out of the position.
Gelder is breathing heavily.
Head is looking for a sweep.
Head is trying to get back to his feet.
Head is not content to let Gelder control the position.

Gelder looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Head gets back to half guard.
Head wants to control but Gelder is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Head is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Gelder scores with a couple of nice shots.
Head regains full guard. Nicely done.
Gelder content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Gelder is standing up over Head. Head looks to escape but Gelder dives into side control.
Head can't do much from the bottom here.
Head wants to get back to his feet but Gelder drags him back down.
Gelder creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Head stops Gelder from passing to mount.

Gelder wants to control but Head is keeping him busy.
Head is trying to buck Gelder off.
Gelder trying to control the action but Head is working from the bottom.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Gelder gets caught flat footed, as Head shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Head stands up and waves to Gelder to follow him.

Head shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Head wants to control from the top but Gelder keeps moving.

Gelder looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Gelder is on top in guard.

Gelder tries to free his leg and advance position but Head is retaining full guard.
Gelder passes easily into side control. Nice work.Gelder connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Head some visible discomfort.
Diego Gelder has got the better of the ground game so far.
Head is trying to get back to his feet.

Gelder cracks Head with a big elbow.
Head is trying to control Gelder's posture but Gelder avoids it.
Head is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Head on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Head stops Gelder from passing to mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Diego Gelder showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Head's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Head throws a nice looking combination but Gelder bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Gelder tightens his grip and picks Head up, before dumping him to the ground. Head manages to land in guard.
