The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Samsonov lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Lipps has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Lipps and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Samsonov throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Lipps stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Lipps avoids the head kick by Samsonov.
Samsonov throws a hook to the side of Lipps's head but Lipps sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Samsonov misses with a wild combination.
Samsonov lands a slapping body shot.
A chopping leg kick lands by Samsonov.
Samsonov catches Lipps napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Lipps to the canvas!

Lipps is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Lipps wants to sweep here but Samsonov controlling him for the moment.

Samsonov gets to his feet - Lipps follows without any prompting.
A head kick misses from Lipps.
Lipps thows a body shot but no joy.

Lipps has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Samsonov.
Lipps on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Samsonov dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Lipps. That did some damage!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Samsonov takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Lipps fails with a takedown attempt.

Lipps shoots in for a takedown but Samsonov shows good takedown defense.

Whack! Samsonov lands a heavy head kick that drops Lipps. The ref tackles Samsonov to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Lipps was done.
