Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Hideyoshi Hatakeda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jean Roqua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jean Roqua has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Hideyoshi Hatakeda's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Hideyoshi Hatakeda!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Richard Clark and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hatakeda shoots in looking for a takedown. Roqua tries to sprawl out of it but Hatakeda keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Roqua manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
No luck for Roqua with that takedown attempt.

Roqua changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hatakeda looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Roqua is putting a hurting on Hatakeda here, landing some big shots from side control.
Hatakeda is not content to let Roqua control the position.
Hatakeda tries to improve position but can't.

Roqua is trying to get an arm triangle but Hatakeda is defending well.

Hatakeda wants to control the position but Roqua frees himself and scrambles - Hatakeda manages to regain control in side control.

Hatakeda will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Hatakeda working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Roqua throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.
Hatakeda wants to take a breather but Roqua manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Hatakeda.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

A close round but Jean Roqua will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Hatakeda misses with a head kick.
Hatakeda dives in and grabs Roqua's left leg, looking for a takedown. Roqua pushes down on Hatakeda's head and hops out.
Roqua shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Hatakeda eats them both and turns towards Roqua to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Roqua tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hatakeda swivels and escapes.
Hatakeda avoids a punch combination nicely.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Roqua has eaten all the pies!

Roqua fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Hatakeda avoids it really well and circles away.

Roqua throws a right hand that Hatakeda ducks under and follows up with a left that Hatakeda also avoids with ease.

Roqua tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Hatakeda shoots in and drives through. Roqua sprawls well.

Roqua decides to return to a standing position.
Hatakeda shoots in looking for a takedown but Roqua manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Hatakeda's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Roqua shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Roqua decides to stand back up. Roqua steps back and let's Hatakeda get back to his feet.
An inside leg kick lands from Roqua.
Roqua will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Hatakeda fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Roqua avoids it really well and circles away.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Hatakeda tries to stall but Roqua uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Hideyoshi Hatakeda has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Jean Roqua is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Hatakeda is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Roqua is defending well for now.

Well Roqua has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
