Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

13 - 5 - 1, fighting out of New York, Anthony Kiedis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

19 - 18 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Jp Alcano!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alcano shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Kiedis throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Sloppy strikes from Alcano. Those never looked like landing.
Alcano fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kiedis manages to avoid it.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Kiedis - that will leave a mark!
Kiedis goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Alcano swinging wildly here.
Kiedis connects with a leg kick. Alcano looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Alcano takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Jp Alcano seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kiedis takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Alcano scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kiedis lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Alcano connects with a solid leg kick.

and Kiedis counters with an inside leg kick.
Kiedis feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Alcano's calf.
Alcano throws a right hand that Kiedis ducks under and follows up with a left that Kiedis also avoids with ease.
Alcano looks to score with a jab to the body but Kiedis is just out of range.
A head kick by Alcano misses
and Kiedis counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Kiedis.
A left hand lands to the body for Kiedis.
Kiedis tries to pull guard but Alcano forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Alcano blocks an uppercut.
Alcano is trying to break the clinch but Kiedis has him pressed against the cage.
Kiedis misses with the head strike.
Kiedis swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Alcano wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Alcano on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Kiedis has Alcano pressed against the cage, preventing Alcano from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Alcano is still on wobbly legs! Can Kiedis finish him?
Kiedis gets control of Alcano's arms and successfully pulls guard. Kiedis will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Kiedis working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Alcano doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Alcano manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Kiedis is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Alcano defends well.

Kiedis is looking to sinch up a triangle. Alcano throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Kiedis's body to avoid the submission. Kiedis has instead reached around Alcano's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Kiedis arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
