Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Godfathers A Chode (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and big guy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). guy is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: eye of the tiger. big guy has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

guy shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

guy stands and steps away. Chode gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Chode escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. guy gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Chode is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Chode takes an elbow to the forehead.
guy tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Chode just stands there and leans against the cage.
Chode jumps guard but guy stands there with Chode around his waist. Chode gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

guy breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
guy throws a right hand that Chode ducks under and follows up with a left that Chode also avoids with ease.

guy shoots in and drives through. Chode sprawls well.
Chode misses with a takedown attempt - guy sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Godfathers A Chode. That's going to take a lot out of him.

guy closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - guy lands in his opponent's guard.

Chode throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Chode has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think guy should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Chode has tightened it up now! guy should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
