Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Eddie Seng (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ping Pong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Eddie Seng has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Eddie Seng!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ping Pong!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Steve Smith and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pong misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Pong dives in and grabs Seng's left leg, looking for a takedown. Seng pushes down on Pong's head and hops out.

Pong shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Pong throwing shots but Seng is blocking nicely.
Pong wants to pass the guard but Seng is defending well.

Seng really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Pong is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Pong wants to stand up but Seng manages to regain full guard.

Seng on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Seng tries to get out of the position.
Pong is looking to work some ground and pound but Seng has wrist control.
Pong stands and throws Seng's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Seng regains half guard there - taking advantage of Pong's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.

Pong wants to work for an arm triangle but Seng is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Pong is looking for a kimura but Seng is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Pong to get the leverage.

Pong makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Pong keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Seng's head.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Pong accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Seng's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Pong shoots for a takedown but Seng saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Seng tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Pong manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Pong tries to score a body lock takedown but Seng shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Pong goes for a takedown attempt but Seng pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Eddie Seng is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Seng misses with a straight left.
Seng tries to clinch there but Pong circles away.
Pong bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Pong staying out of range there.
Pong blocks a jab.
Pong drops his hands momentarily and Seng takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Pong fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Horrible takedown by Pong or perhaps it was just good defense by Seng which made him look bad.
Seng is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Pong.

Seng throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Pong sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Seng staying out of range there.

Seng has taken the fight to the clinch.
Seng lands a damaging elbow.
Seng scores with a hook to the body.

Pong wants the takedown. Seng is fighting it off but Pong persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Seng's guard against the cage.
Pong throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Seng works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Seng controlling the position.
Pong wants to pass the guard but Seng is keeping the position.
Pong looking to sit in guard and control but Seng gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Seng's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Pong throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Seng is fighting to break Pong's control of his arms but Pong is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Pong wants to sweep here but Seng controlling him for the moment.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Seng tries to clinch but Pong moves out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Pong is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Seng frees his head nicely. Oh but Pong has switched to an armbar! Seng is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:34 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Armbar). Ping Pong!
In his post fight interview, Ping Pong started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
