PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nathaniel Price (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patrick Prototype (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Price comes to the cage accompanied by Thunderstruck. Patrick Prototype told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Price drives through with a takedown into guard.
Price content to stall in guard here.
Prototype controls Price momentarily but Price frees himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Prototype looking to hit a scissor sweep but Price is one step ahead there.

Prototype has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Price can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Price is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Price gets to his feet - Prototype follows without any prompting.
A punch combination from Prototype misses.

Prototype gets the takedown into side control.
You can see the frustration on Price's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Price is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
Prototype creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Price sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Prototype decides to stand back up. Prototype steps back and let's Price get back to his feet.

Price closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Prototype to the mat! Prototype manages to get full guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Price decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Prototype, up you get!
Price keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Price shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Prototype manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
