The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kyles lands a two punch combo.
Kyles throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Perseus scores with a sloppy right hand. Kyles should have avoided that one.
Kyles scores with a jab to the jaw.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kyles jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Kyles misses with a series of wild punches.
Perseus rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kyles moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Jimmy Kyles seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Perseus moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Perseus changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kyles tries to avoid it but Perseus manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kyles to the ground. Kyles escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Kyles throws a low kick but it's checked well by Perseus.
Kyles lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Perseus lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kyles circles away quickly and effectively.
Kyles pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Perseus dives in and scores a takedown into Kyles's guard.
Kyles keeping moving, preventing Perseus from controlling successfully.
Kyles controls Perseus momentarily but Perseus frees himself.

Perseus looking to pass the guard.
Perseus might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Perseus trying to move into half guard but instead Kyles has managed to sweep!
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Perseus is on top in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kyles is trying to control the position but Perseus postures up.
Perseus wants to control from the top but Kyles keeps moving.

Kyles looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Perseus passes into half guard.

Perseus is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Kyles has managed to free his arm - good work.
Kyles really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Perseus. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Perseus takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Perseus is trying for a kimura here. Kyles looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Perseus wins by kimura!
