Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John McLovin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danny Drake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Drake has chosen ACDC black ice - spoilin for a fight as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. John McLovin had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McLovin looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Drake is fending him off so far but McLovin persists. Nope, Drake circles away and we're back to standing.
Drake rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but McLovin moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
McLovin changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Drake tries to avoid it but McLovin manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Drake to the ground. Drake escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Drake defends well against a solid takedown attempt from McLovin.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John McLovin. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The fighters circling - McLovin throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
McLovin throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Drake's waist but Drake gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing McLovin off to one side.
Drake lands a slapping body shot.
McLovin shoots for a double leg takedown but Drake sprawls well. He's pushed McLovin's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Drake misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

A momentary lapse in concentration from McLovin enables Drake to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. McLovin manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Drake stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. McLovin swivels though and keeps the full guard.

McLovin is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Drake defends well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Drake wants to control from the top but McLovin keeps moving.

McLovin had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Drake defends it easily.
McLovin bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Drake's guard.

McLovin drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Drake manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now McLovin has Drake in his guard.

McLovin takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Drake wants to control the pace but McLovin is squirming around nicely.
Drake fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
