These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smirnoff throws a head kick that Smith semi-blocks.
Smith slips a jab and a cross from Smirnoff.
Smirnoff uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Smith.
Smirnoff lands a head shot.
Smirnoff misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Smith catches Smirnoff with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

It looks like Vitaly Smirnoff has been cut.
Smirnoff slips under a jab from Smith.
Smirnoff tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Smith throws a looping overhand right but Smirnoff ducks down to avoid it.
Smirnoff is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Smith.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Smith has had enough of the clinch but Smirnoff keeps him there for the moment.
Smith wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

The fight stays on the outside here - Smith looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
