Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Samppa Palmu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrey Silvin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silvin scores with the left hand. Palmu knows he should have avoided that one.

Palmu drives through with a takedown into guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Palmu drops back looking for a leg! Silvin is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Silvin manages to kick Palmu off! Palmu jumps back into Silvin's guard.

Palmu thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Silvin can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Palmu controls the pace.

Silvin has momentary wrist control but Palmu slips an elbow through the middle.

Silvin had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Palmu defends it easily.

Silvin wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Palmu manages to pass to side control.
Palmu passes to side control.
Palmu is looking to take a break and control but Silvin is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Palmu is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Silvin looks calm but he's in trouble here. Palmu gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Silvin is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Palmu lets go of the hold and Silvin can pop his arm back in it's socket.
