Bassi's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

Mc Duke fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Bassi checks it well.
Mc Duke lands a head kick. Bassi smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

and Mc Duke counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Mc Duke bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Mc Duke dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Bassi. That did some damage!

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Bassi closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Mc Duke is pushing Bassi's head away, looking to escape. Bassi manages to hold on to the position though.

Bassi wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Mc Duke, who protects the arm well.

Bassi is looking to take a break and control but Mc Duke is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Mc Duke knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bassi on the ground.

Bassi swings around for an armbar but Mc Duke sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Bassi's guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Bassi controls Mc Duke momentarily but Mc Duke frees himself.
Bassi throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Mc Duke tries to stand but Bassi is controlling from the bottom.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bassi is on top in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bassi closes the distance and clinches up with Mc Duke, looking for a takedown. Bassi pushes Mc Duke against the cage but Mc Duke circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Bassi looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Mc Duke is fending him off so far but Bassi persists. Nope, Mc Duke circles away and we're back to standing.
