Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Guzman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ichigo Curas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Curas lands a head kick. Guzman smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Curas throws a leg kick which misses Guzman's front leg but catches the back leg as Guzman tries to avoid it.
Curas throws a right and a left that Guzman avoids nicely.
Curas lands with a kick to the temple. Guzman shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Guzman throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Curas feints and then cracks Guzman's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Guzman down.

Ichigo Curas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Guzman shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Guzman showed some decent athleticism there.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Curas is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Guzman has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Guzman closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Curas quickly recovers to half guard.
Curas really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Guzman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Guzman stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Guzman shoots in for a takedown but Curas shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Guzman.
Guzman closes the distance and clinches up with Curas, looking for a takedown. Guzman pushes Curas against the cage but Curas circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Guzman crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Curas - the referee stops the clock and Guzman gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Curas. Guzman manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Curas shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Guzman eats them both and turns towards Curas to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Curas comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Guzman takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Curas explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
