Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Geraldo Rivera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luca Blight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Rivera might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Sucker Punch - Sweet Dreams. Blight has chosen Suikoden II - The Chase as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Luca Blight has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Bruno Lombardi and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blight looks to throw the jab but Rivera is out of range.
Blight lands with a thumping leg kick.
Rivera blocks a low kick nicely.
Blight scores with a nice head shot.
Rivera with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Blight to score with a decent uppercut.

Blight fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Rivera has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Rivera tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Blight manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Rivera lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Blight buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

and Blight counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Blight seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Rivera sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Blight lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Rivera goes down and covers up as Blight starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:48 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Luca Blight!
Luca Blight decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
