Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Power (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anthony Lombardo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Power might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to X gonna give it to ya - DMX. Lombardo has chosen From Despair To Where as his entrance music. Anthony Lombardo has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Anthony Lombardo!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Atkins and Daniel Bishop.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lombardo misses the jab.
Anthony Lombardo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lombardo fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Power on the side of the head.
Lombardo misses with a wild body shot.
Power tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Lombardo counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Lombardo looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Power makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Lombardo scores with a crisp jab that stopped Power in his tracks.

It looks like Thomas Power has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Lombardo misses with an uppercut. Power saw that one coming.
Lombardo throws a hook but Power blocks it.
No luck for Power with that takedown attempt.
Power shoots in but Lombardo avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Power slips a jab and a cross from Lombardo.
Power fails with the takedown

and Lombardo counters with a combination of strikes to the head and body that crumple Power!
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Thomas Power. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Lombardo seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Power does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

and Power counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Lombardo's guard now.

Power has gone for a leg lock! Lombardo slips out almost immediately though and dives into Power's guard.

Power throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Lombardo escapes and throws Power's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Lombardo swings around for an armbar but Power sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Lombardo's guard.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Anthony Lombardo dominated that round.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Lombardo doesn't manage to clinch there - Power circles away.
Power displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Lombardo.
Anthony Lombardo seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Lombardo throws a sloppy head kick and Power moves out of range easily.
Lombardo throws a hook but Power avoids it easily.
Power misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Lombardo works over Power with some ground and pound from guard.
Power is looking to stand up but Lombardo isn't so interested in that idea.
Thomas Power overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Power avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Lombardo got a little sloppy there for a moment and Power has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Lombardo has managed to get both his arms back between Power's legs - danger averted.
Lombardo controls from within his opponent's guard.

Power has his foot on Lombardo's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lombardo works his way back into a safe position though.
Lombardo cracks Power with a solid left hand.

Lombardo slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Power wants to stand up but Lombardo is controlling him.
Lombardo slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Lombardo stops Power from standing up.
Lombardo engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Anthony Lombardo hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Lombardo connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Power momentarily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Lombardo gets caught napping as Power dives in and scores a takedown. Lombardo manages to retain guard.

Lombardo looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Power passes into half guard.
Lombardo is trying to control but Power manages to pass to mount!
Lombardo tries to hold on but Power pushes him away.

Power stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
Lombardo misses with the combination.

Lombardo rushes Power and presses him up against the cage.
Lombardo has Power pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Power manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Power manages to break the clinch.
Lombardo misses with a jab, cross combination.
Lombardo shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Power as he jumps to the side.
Thomas Power has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Anthony Lombardo.
Lombardo throws a hook to the side of Power's head but Power sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
No luck for Power with that takedown attempt.
Power looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Anthony Lombardo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Lombardo moves into the clinch.

Lombardo pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Lombardo defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Power.
Lombardo scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Power doesn't seem bothered though.
Lombardo scores with a jab. Power acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Lombardo swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Power counters with a nice double leg into guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Lombardo is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Power defends well.
Power would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Power looking to sit in guard and control but Lombardo gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Power preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Power looking for a guillotine here but Lombardo defends easily.
Lombardo content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Lombardo trying to control the position from guard on top but Power is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Lombardo won't allow Power to get back to his feet.

Power keeping moving, preventing Lombardo from controlling successfully.
Power has momentary wrist control but Lombardo slips an elbow through the middle.
Lombardo lands a couple of digs.

Lombardo gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Lombardo lands a right hook to the body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lombardo looks to score with a jab to the body but Power is just out of range.
Anthony Lombardo is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

and Power counters by moving into the clinch.
Power lands a shoulder strike.

Power pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Lombardo swats away the attempt to clinch by Power.
Power wants to clinch up but Lombardo keeps it at a distance.
Power shoots in and drives through. Lombardo sprawls well.
Lombardo lands with a slapping head kick.
Nice takedown defense from Power. No joy for Lombardo on that attempt.

Lombardo looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Power!

Power is in a horrible position here. Lombardo smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Thomas Power has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Lombardo shoots in and bounces Power off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
